How to Remove the Rogers Blackberry Signature
jambrose | Technology5 Mar 2008
Have you been Googling about looking for a way to remove that annoying message:
“Sent from my BlackBerry device on the Rogers Wireless Network”
Look no further. No longer must you live with the embarrassment and inconvenience of everyone knowing you are a Rogers customer and that you are available 24/7 (respectively).
Please visit:
Update: Your Rogers email account credentials might work. Otherwise, you will need to create a BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) account.
First, get your PIN and IMEI number from your phone: Options > Status.
From your Blackberry browser (this is important), visit http://www.rogers.com/bis and create a new BIS account.
It will ask you for the usual email and password. Then enter the PIN and IMEI for your phone.
Submit! Yay! You have a BIS account.
You can now log into http://www.rogers.com/bis and edit your accounts, including the default signature.
Other problems?
I also solved the problem of hundreds of emails being repeatedly sent to my Pearl by removing and re-adding all my email accounts.
Then, on your Berry, go to Options > Advanced Options > Service Book and delete all your email accounts (anything with “desk” in it). Next go to Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing table. Option one of those bad-boys (any one) and click Register Now.
You get welcome emails, and all is well.
Special thanks to Mohammed Shahidul Islam (or “Tony” as I call him) at Rogers Tech Support!

Perfect. Worked like a charm on Internet Explorer…for some reason it didn’t take on Firefox.
THANK YOU! Spent an hour trying to do it on my BB this am with no luck. This is perfect!
